Bayou Teche Museum
The Bayou Teche Museum offers entertainment, interactive, and educational opportunities for visitors and groups of all ages in downtown New Iberia. Located on Main Street, directly next to The Sliman Theater, the museum is the a great place to enjoy while visiting New Iberia to learn about the culture and history of Iberia Parish. The museum provides guided and self-guided tours and events for educational groups of all kinds – including teachers and students, historians and more. The offer a fun, hands-on programs that educate visitors about the aspect of the Bayou Teche region and the impact of New Iberia, known as the Queen City on the Teche. 
Shadows on the Teche
Located in New Iberia's Main Street District and set among towering live oak trees draped with Spanish moss, The Shadows on the Teche is a historic, antebellum home located on the the banks of Bayou Teche. Build in 1834, the home tells the story of sugar planter David Weeks and the enslaved individuals who lived there. The home paints a vivid picture of life for four generations of the Weeks family in New Iberia with open and guided tours of the home and gardens.
