Families Helping Families of Acadiana

Families Helping Families of Acadiana is one of ten 501©3 non-profit resource centers located throughout the state of Louisiana. Their corporation was organized as a family-directed resource center based on the principals of Louisiana Act 378 of 1989 for families and individuals with disabilities and their families. 

Their belief is that providing support services through programs and events, they will educate, strengthen and empower families and individuals who are at an increased risk for family breakdown. Since its inception, Families Helping Families has served thousands of families in Region 4 through 3 areas of services: 

  • Information & Referral
  • Peer-to-Peer Support
  • Educational Services and Training

They provide the services to the following parishes: Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary and Vermilion.
