Easter weekend is finally here and there is no shortage of family-fun Easter events to line up the weekend for families in New Iberia, Abbeville, Breaux Bridge and Morgan City. As I was working on updates for the event calendar, I came across two FUN springtime announcements for local establishments in our area that families can enjoy.
First, Poche's RV Park in Breaux Bridge announced this week they will open their Aqua Park for a taste of summer over spring break beginning on Friday, April 18, 2025 to Sunday, April 27, 2025. We've got the details on our event calendar. Next, the St. Rose Flower Farm in St. Martinville announced they are open for spring U-Pick from April to around mid June of 2025. The U-Pick will be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from sun up to sun down. Get the details on our calendar.
We have families that follow us in Iberia, St. Martin, St. Mary and Vermilion parishes, which means we cover four different school districts. While some were on spring break this week, others will be out next week. But as we begin to wrap up the 2024-2025 school year, we will continue to stay on the hunt for all the local options for our families to enjoy in our area.

1. Louisiana Lao New Year Festival - Wat Thammarattanaram Budhist Temple

The festival is held Easter weekend at the Wat Thammarattanaram Temple in Lanexang Village which borders Iberia Parish, the town of Coteau, and the Broussard area, offering an authentic experience of Southeast Asia food, music and culture. 2. Super Saturday Shopping Event - Downtown New Iberia
