Macaroni KID Recommends: 5 Things To Do This Week!

I was so excited to be invited to participate in the Cookie Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Girl Scouts of Louisiana Pines to the Bluff offices this week. It was great to see so many folks show up to support the some of youngest members of our community. The girls did amazing in the presentation and of course we all got to enjoy a cookie... or two! Make sure to support one of our local troops at these upcoming booths sales in Iberia, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion parishes and grab a couple of boxes. 1. Cracklin Cooking Demonstration - Palmetto Island State Park - Abbeville

Join the Latanier Cookers at Palmetto Island State Park in Abbeville for the Cracklin Cooking Demonstration. There will be several demonstrations by local cooks during the day. Enjoy live music and samples during the event. No charge for tasting, but donations are welcomed. Regular park admission fees apply.

2. Happy Dog Walk - City Park - New Iberia

Start your morning with a scenic dog walk around the park alongside fellow pet lovers and the folks from the BFF Spay Neuter Project. Afterward, stick around for exciting activities and games for the kids, ensuring fun for the whole family.

The community is invited to celebrate at the festival this weekend at the Delcambre Shrimp Festival Building. Enjoy music, dancing, shopping with local vendors, fun jumps for the kids, a live auction, and plate lunches will be for sale during the event. 

4. Krewe of Ezana Mardi Gras Parade - Jeanerette

The Jeanerette Mardi Gras Association is celebrating Mardi Gras with their annual parade in Jeanerette. Enjoy a local, hometown parade with floats, marching bands, and throws. Parade lineup will begin at 10:30 AM. Road closures will start at approximately 11:00 AM.

5. Candy Bar Bingo Family Night - The Main Cup - Loreauville

Grab the family and head to The Main Cup in Loreauville for Candy Bar Bingo Night to support the Our Lady of Victory Food Pantry. This fun, family event is held to support our community with a sweet evening of fun!
