Last week the Bayou Mardi Gras Association kicked of carnival season in Acadiana with the annual parade in New Iberia. It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed chatting with other families and watching as the parade marched down main street. Check out my TikTok of the parade:

1. Latanier Cookers: Dutch Oven Gathering - Abbeville

Join the Latanier Cookers Dutch Oven Group at Palmetto Island State Park for the monthly Dutch Oven Gathering this weekend. Demonstrations begin at 9:00 am and tasting begins at noon. Ice chest are welcomed and make sure to bring your chairs and enjoy fellowship with the community. This event is open to the both members and non-members of the Latanier Cookers.
2. February Market at The Grub Lot - Erath

St. Peter's Catholic Church will be hosting the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra for the annual Prelude to Spring. The community is invited to attend a free concert featuring a blend of classical music, opera, and Broadway tunes and celebrate the arrival of spring.
