What a week! I am surrounded by snow as I type this in New Iberia.
Little did I know when I picked this month's cover photo for our weekly Macaroni KID Recommends article that our area would be faced with winter storm warnings and BLIZZARD conditions in New Iberia! Our children could have easily recreated this photo in their front yards this week. I enjoyed playing in the snow on Tuesday with my teens, but the slushy mess that it has left for us, well not so much fun, right?
Luckily, our Mardi Gras parades will begin rolling next month, hopefully giving us time to dry out and warm up. Make sure to check out our 2025 Mardi Gras Family Fun Guide this year for all your carnival plans! We will update it as more events and activities are announced so check back often.
