Are you interested in learning about the things that go bump in the night and/or enjoy binge-watching paranormal investigations? If so, make plans to attend the second annual Cajun Country Para-Con this April at Vermilionville in Lafayette.
The organization is excited to present and host the event this year in the heart of Lafayette, Louisiana on the banks of Bayou Vermilion at the Vermilionville Historic Village. Make plans to spend the day enjoying Cajun cuisine, taking a self guided tour through the village and the historic houses, listen to guest speaker sessions and workshops, and much more.

Louisiana Spirits, established in 2005, is the largest, most professional, data driven group of paranormal investigators in Louisiana with five different chapters throughout the state. They have investigated historical locations, private residences, and businesses throughout the state such as:

- The Haunted Fairbanks House - Sicily Island, Louisiana
The first Cajun Country Para-Con, held last year in New Iberia at the Bayou Teche Museum was a huge success. The attendees, vendors, and guests speakers made it a day to be remembered with panel discussions, giveaways, and plenty of one-on-one time with the attending paranormal celebs. This year Cajun Country Para-Con has brought back a few of last year's favorites, along with a few new vendors, sponsors, and special guests. Attendees most enjoy meeting their favorite paranormal celebs from the Travel Channel, Netflix, and YouTube, as well as several other paranormal researchers and enthusiasts. It's a day to enjoy and learn about all things paranormal!

- Vince Kelien of Urban Investigator
- Mike Gagliano and Medium MaryLynn Bast of Para with a Normal and PSYDkicks Paranormal

There are also a limited amount of VIP passes available for this event. VIP passes allow for early entry, a ghost hunting investigation later that night with the team and a few of the special guests, and a special Q&A with a the paranormal celebs. VIP passes must be purchased by contacting Marci Lee, State Director via email to mlee@laspirits.com.

As with every event that Louisiana Spirits hosts, a local non-profit or community organization is selected to receive a percentage of all proceeds as way to give back to the Acadiana community. This year's Louisiana Spirits has selected to donate to the preservation of Vermilionville.
This wonderful charm in the heart of Acadiana is home to many free events, workshops, and series that locals and tourists love to attend. From live music, to learning more about our culture by examining the lives of the Creoles, Native Americans and the Cajuns who call Acadiana home, Vermilionville truly offers a one-of-a-kind experience everyone can enjoy in Lafayette, Louisiana.
